Placement Test
Start by assessing students’ current skills and proficiency levels with an embedded placement test that places them into one of three proficiency ‘tracks’—beginner, intermediate, or advanced. From there, teachers can assign vocabulary and grammar lessons that meet students where they are.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
Every classroom is a multilingual classroom
Whether you’re new to the classroom or a seasoned EL educator, our teacher resources, scaffolded lesson plans and content indexes, and Professional Learning opportunities make it easier for every teacher to reach their EL students.
BrainPOP ELL’s skill-based levels mean it can be used for any age group—while its ability to be assigned in individual and small group settings means every teacher can differentiate instruction.
BrainPOP ELL helps teach English through accessible stories that mirror real-life scenarios. The story structure makes it easy for ELs to remember new grammar and vocabulary, and the natural dialogue helps them practice and apply conversational language skills. Stories are an accessible structure to gain context and help organize information for recall.
Ensure every teacher who supports EL students gets the most out of their BrainPOP ELL subscription with self-paced, online, and in-person workshops where teachers learn instructional strategies to bring BrainPOP ELL into their classrooms to boost student engagement and language proficiency.
TESTIMONIALS
But don't just take our word for it
"BrainPOP ELL has been a lifesaver for our class. I teach varying levels of ELs, and it is wonderful that they can take a placement test and work independently while I am working with other students."

"BrainPOP ELL introduces concepts and terminology in digestible chunks that give my students the information and vocabulary to express themselves, articulate, and elaborate on their thoughts in a way that makes them feel heard."
